이 세상에서 갈망을 포기하고 세속적 삶을 단념하여 집 없는 사람이 되는 사람, 갈망을 부수어버리고 존재의 마지막에 도달한 사람, 그를 일러 바라문이라 하네.
He who in this world giving up craving, would renounce worldly life and become a homeless one, he who has destroyed craving and has come to the end of existence, him I call a brāhmana.
