 (욕정의) 숲을 베어버리되 진짜 나무들을 베지 말라.
(욕정의) 숲에서 두려움이 샘솟나니.
오, 비구들이여, 숲과 (욕정의) 곁가지들을 모두 베어내 숲(욕정)에서 벗아난 사람이 되라.

Cut down the forest (of the passions), but not real trees. From the fores (of the passions) springs fear. Cutting down both fores and brushwood (of the passions), be forestless, O Bhikkhus.
