피하여야 할 것에 전념하고 추구하여야 할 것에 전념하지 않으며 (진리) 탐구를 포기하고 쾌락을 뒤쫓는 사람은, 노력을 기울이는 사람들을 부러워하네.

Applying oneself to that which should be avoided, not applying oneself to that which should be pursued, and giving up the quest, one who goes after pleaure envies those who exert themselves.
